Natasha Denona Birthday Gift

Hey doll hey! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I’m still trying to get through this latest fibro flare… and the pending hurricane isn’t helping much with that.

I received a birthday gift in the mail yesterday and wanted to haul it before I use the items I received.

I received 5 new Natasha Denona midi palettes. 1 is the newest palette released and 4 are palettes that have been out for a bit… all very appreciated.

I already owned 2 of the midi sized palettes….

Just 2 weeks till the big day so I’m super excited. Getting my first gift early was a real treat too…

So let’s jump right in….

*remember as always, all hyperlinks provided are simply for fast location of the products used and not affiliate links… I just did the research so you didn’t have to, all swatches are done on clean bare skin with no primer and in 1 pass to show the true pigmentation of the products*

Natasha Denona Retro Glam Palette ($69 for 0.67 oz / 19.25 g of total product making it 0.044 oz / 1.28 g and $4.60 per shade and sold at Sephora, Ulta and the ND website) is billed as an eyeshadow palette that combines greens, pinks, and neutral nudes with a variety of finishes, in a collection of all-new shades.

This palette has: 8 metallic, 1 cream to powder matte and 6 matte shades in this palette.

  • First Impression: This is a pastel pink and green palette that’s grown up and become a grungy palette. The mattes are creamy and finely milled and have the perfect amount of pigmentation to allow you to build up rather than having to sheer out. I’m excited to see what kind of looks I can come up with using this palette.

The shades from left to right are: Flare – 453SM (rosy red – metallic), Jazzy – 454M (dark cool brown – metallic), Oscar – 455M (light-medium vintage champagne –metallic), Evergreen – 456CP (medium-dark sage green – cream to powder matte) and Marlin – 457M (light-medium sage green – metallic).

Perfect to create romantic, retro-inspired looks.

This palette has: 1 sparkle topper, 1 duo-chrome, 5 cream to powder matte, 4 matte & 4 metallic shades.

  • First Impression: The first thing I thought when I saw this palette was it’s a perfect sweethearts day palette… be that valentines day, an anniversary, date night…. this is a romantic palette. The metallics are super buttery and really shiny. The mattes are soft enough to get good pigment but not so much that I got any kick back in the pans.

The shades from left to right are: Glitz – 392DC (baby pink with champagne shift – duochrome ), Andy – 393CP (taupey lilac – cream powder matte), Jude – 394M (warm taupe – metallic), Mod – 395CM (off white with pink undertones – matte ) and Vivianne – 396CP (light pinky nude cream powder matte).

Natasha Denona Yucca Palette ($69 for 0.61 oz / 17.40 g of total product making it 0.04 oz / 1.16 g and $4.60 per shade and sold at Sephora & Ulta and on the ND website) is billed as a set of 15 new fiery shades in an exquisite palette that synergistically merges Natasha’s three daring formulas of sparkling foiled, matte, and metallic.

This palette has: 1 foiled duo-chrome, 3 foiled metallic, 1 metallic & 10 matte shades.

  • First Impression: This is a unique palette. This isn’t a color story that I’ve seen before. The metallics are really creamy and super pigmented. The yellows and oranges are gruny and that little pop of green in the bottom is a great addition.

This palette has: 1 foiled metallic, 1 foiled chroma crystal, 1 cream powder mate, 5 matte 4 duo-chrome & 3 metallic shades.

  • First Impression: A full palette dedicated to bronze shades… yes please! I love that this palette is metallic heavy because I think if they had made it with more matte shades we would have gotten duplicate shades or at least shades that were too close in hue.

The shades from left to right are: True Copper – 305M (warm copper – metallic), Suntan – 306CM (warm medium brown – matte), Sundown – 307CM (medium light yellow-brown – matte), Deep Dive – 308CP (deep brown eggplant – cream powder matte) and Rhodium – 309DC (medium warm purple with silver pin points – duo chrome).

This palette has: 3 foiled metallic, 2 metallic, 3 wet effect metallic & 7 matte shades.

  • First Impression: Natasha Denona does nude shades amazingly. I wasn’t sure I would get this palette because I have other nude palettes from their line. I am so glad it was gifted to me! Pictures and videos don’t do this palette justice. There is so much more depth to this palette that you just have to see in person. The wet effect formula is super reflective and the foiled shades are stunning.

The shades from left to right are: Stone 493CM (light medium warm taupe – matte), Whisper 494M (light nude pink – metallic), Ella 495SF (warm fawn – foiled metallic), Vague 496CM (medium warm dusty rose – matte) and Travertine 497M (soft amber – metallic).
